Preparing for your next year schedule

  1. Know what you need

    1. Do a Credit Course Audit, know what courses are required for graduation, study the electives you would like to take.​

  2. ​View the Program of Studies

    1. What courses are required for your grade.

    2. What electives are you able to take or do you want to take.​

  3. Know the level of the classes you want to take.  What did your previous teacher recommend you take?

    1. Are you College Prep, CP?​

    2. Are you Honors?

    3. Are you Advanced Placement, AP?

    4. Are you looking for built in support, help with a struggling class?  You can look at taking a Foundations Level class.

  4. Are you interested in taking a high school course for college credit?  If yes, talk with your counselor.

  5. Go to the Scheduling Portal and enter the electives you have chosen.

    1. You should enter a few alternates.​

    2. Are the electives grade appropriate?

    3. Do the electives have Prerequisites?

  6. Meet with your School Counselor.  Counselors will be setting up times to meet with students, you will be hearing from them over the next Month.

  7. BE PREPARED!!!  When it is your time to meet with your counselor, come to the meeting prepared with your responsibilities complete.  Failure to do so will result in rescheduling the meeting for another day.
